Terms of Service

1. Booking and Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Verdantway Journeys. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from our team. Prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise specified.

2. Payment Terms

  • A deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to confirm your booking
  • The remaining balance is due 30 days before the tour commencement date
  • For bookings made within 30 days of travel, full payment is required at the time of booking
  • We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, and other approved methods

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 60 days before departure: Loss of deposit
  • 31-60 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost
  • 15-30 days before departure: 75% of total tour cost
  • Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of total tour cost

4. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, personal liability, and baggage loss. Verdantway Journeys is not responsible for losses not covered by your insurance.

5. Itinerary Changes

While we strive to operate all tours as advertised, we reserve the right to modify itineraries due to weather conditions, local circumstances, safety concerns, or other factors beyond our control. Alternative arrangements of similar value will be provided where possible.

6. Liability

Verdantway Journeys acts as an intermediary between travelers and service providers (hotels, transport operators, guides, etc.). While we exercise due diligence in selecting our partners, we cannot be held liable for their acts, omissions, or negligence. Our liability is limited to the tour cost paid.

7. Passport and Visa Requirements

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports (with at least 6 months validity) and obtaining any required visas for entry into Sri Lanka. Verdantway Journeys can provide guidance but is not liable for entry refusal.

8. Health and Safety

Travelers should consult their healthcare provider regarding vaccinations and health precautions for travel to Sri Lanka. Those with medical conditions or special needs must inform us at the time of booking.

9. Complaints

Any complaints during your tour should be reported immediately to your guide or our 24/7 support line so we can address them promptly. Written complaints must be received within 28 days of tour completion.
